While we were in Panaca, we had a family baseball/tee-ball game with Nathan's cousins.  It was fun for him to be able to hit the ball and run the bases on a real baseball field.  I think all the cousins had a fun time playing too.  We played for about two hours, till the lights came on.  Then the thunder and lightening came and we decided to quit.

More of the Tractor Obsession

We went to Panaca for the Pioneer Day celebration and Nathan got his tractor and farm fix from Grandpa Mathews.  I swear, he can spot a tractor a mile away!  He was constantly asking Grandpa if he could ride the tractor or ride the loader, so we took a drive to the farm.  He sat on a couple different tractors and "drove" them and tried to bale some hay.  We walked through a field of corn that was twice as tall as him and he was in HEAVEN!!  We had a fun time playing with all the cousins and Aunt Kimmy and Uncle Cade.  He's pretty fond of  KimmyCade".  They were just married a few weeks ago and it was fun to see them again.

My Baby is 2!!!

My Sweet BABY!
Look how little he was!!!  He was one week old in this picture.  7.5 pounds and so skinny!!

This is Nathan's First Birthday!  Chubbed up by then and lovin' some cake!!

Nathan turned 2 on Sat!  I can't believe that it happened so fast.  It seems like he was just a baby and now he's getting so big.  It's so fun, but so sad at the same time.  He is turning into such a little boy that is ALL BOY!  He loves "choo choo" trains, tractors, airplanes, helicopters, and balls.  For his birthday we went to Boulder City to ride the train.  He liked it, I think.  Too bad it wasn't more scenic.  I have been on a very pretty scenic train in CO and so we'll have to do that on our next trip to CO.  Anyways, we had a little cake and ice cream with a few friends and he blew out his candles very well.  He got spoiled by everyone and got everything he wanted and more.  Thanks everyone for making this little boy's birthday so special!  Thank you Nathan, for being the sweetest, cutest boy and making me so happy!  I Love you so much and can't imagine life without you in it!
He loves his new "trike" and helmet (he calls it a hat)
My new giant cupcake mold.  The bottom is cake and the top is ice cream- yum!

We're Back!

Well, Nathan and I have been out of town for almost two weeks and we're finally back home and I don't even know where to begin.  This might take me awhile to blog about all the fun things we've done.  I'll try to just highlight the best things and spare you all my millions of pictures and details.  I have a hard time though cause we had so much fun in Colorado! I didn't really want to leave- it was really hard this time.  It's always hard, but it was especially fun this time.  I think cause Nathan is getting older and he really had a good time.  He was in heaven playing outside in the sand box, at the barn on the tractors, riding the 4-wheeler with "Papa" and taking wagon rides from Grandma and Granny.
Nathan is obsessed with tractors!  That was all he talked about and had to "drive" every one of them and touch all the buttons and honk every horn.  I think he belongs on the farm, not cooped up in this city!
We went boating with my brother Jesse.  He just got a new boat and it was a blast!  I got up on one ski for the first time in about 4-5 years and it felt so good!  Nathan loved the water and driving the boat.  We also went swimming at the rec center a few times and that was really fun.  He just wanted to play all the time.  He hardly made time to eat or sleep.   We went on a beautiful hike up above Vallecito Lake.  The trail was pretty steep and runs along the creek (well, more like a raging river).  It was a workout carrying Nathan on my back, but it was worth it.  My mom got more pictures on her camera of that, so more of that to come.
